Jamaica hotel Foote Prints On The Sand Hotel
“Quiet property on the beach”
This lovely property is right on the beach. The beach area is sort of small, so get out there early during high season. I loved the curried goat. There is a super market across the street from the hotel, as well as a few places to eat. This is one of the last hotels before you get to the all-inclusive area. Don't let a taxi driver on the street trick you into paying too much for a ride into town. spa is very affordable but we diddn't enjoy it.
Room : we didn't face the beach but we thought it would have been a bit noisy if it was the case. Instead the room was central closed from the front gate and road.
Take with you
Bring shampoo, toothpaste, hair dryer, towell, wash cloth, sunscreen. If you need toiletries/sunscreen, there is a mini mart across the street. Convert your money to Jamaican currency. You will save money! Don't forget to tip but we almost didn't :-(
We also ate @ the hotel restaurant where it serves a decent breakfast right on the water's edge, but other meals there were not impressive.
Perfect, central location on the Negril beach and within easy walking distance to the craft market and a multitude of restaurants and bars on the beach.
We ate breakfast here 3 times (about $4- $7 each including coffee, fruit, etc.) and dinner a lot. - good food and reasonably priced. We LOVED being right on the beach and having the ability to interact with local people! Our room was on the first floor with a sweet patio . . . Most of all, this hotel is just a few minute walk to Margaritaville --
There's free wireless internet around the reception and the bar, we even could get it in our room(s). Many other hotels in Jamaica charge $20/day for internet access (e.g. Negril Rooms).
Where else in the world could you be on the beach within 10 steps (after paying only £24.00 per night) . is not 5 star (not even 3) but after walking along the beach through the imaginary wall which is the AI, I feel the hotel can offer so much more, you can meet the locals, engage in local culture no pressure and typical of Jamaica it was "no problem"
Finally and not least, on your arrival you will meet Bobby a big mid-age man, he will look after all your needs as he covers the maintenence within the hotel (a wonderful person , wmuch respect)! Once seen never forgotten. Was such as MASSIVE part and always is during our stay at the hotel

We spent 1600£ total for this trip - amazing time !!!
The dolphins came right up to us a sang a beautiful song at Dolphin Cove.
This place is small but great, we loved every minute of it. The only snoozer was the shark show, I have no idea what the hell those guys were saying. dolphin experience was great.
Located only 25 minutes southeast of Negril, Blue Hole Mineral Spring is a unique water resort nestled in the hills of a small, peaceful community. The attraction it centered around an amazing mineral spring which you can jump or climb down into -- what an invigorating experience to take the plunge! For entertainment, you can also watch locals dive in from platforms perched in trees as high as 60 feet above the water. Wow! Once you are in Blue Hole Mineral Spring, 25+ feet below the surface of the earth, the mineral water is crystal clear, pure and refreshing. It even bubbles up when you stir around, and it's so large inside that one can even swim laps! A huge adjacent pool, just constructed, and fed from the mineral spring, is heavenly as you bask in the sunshine with friendly locals hanging out around you. A low-key restaurant/bar provides great food and drinks. The grounds are gorgeous, filled with beautiful plants and flowers. This is as Jamaican as it gets -- great fun and relaxation among genuine people who want you to have a good time.
Dunn’s River Falls is one of Jamaica ’s national treasures. These falls were the location of the legendary battle of the “Las Chorreras” in 1657 between the English and the Spanish Expeditionary Force from Cuba . The English prevailed making Charles Pryce the first owner of “Las Chorreras”.
For you movie buffs out there the falls and Dunn’s River beach were featured in the James Bond Film “Dr. No” (1962) with Sean Connery and Ursula Andress.
The most popular activity at the falls is to climb them and lounge and swim in the many pools created by the falls. We had fun
Nine Mile xx
The drive up into the mountains is beautiful, but a little scarey. The roads are narrow, steep and windy, with steep drops, and the driver went awfully fast. I think it took about 1 1/2 hours to get there. Once you get to Nine Mile, the Marley family tour guides take over. You see the house he was born in (grandparents') and house he grew up in (mother's). His "single bed" and the "rock for a pillow" are there, as is his mausoleum. It was prety amazing, his bible is there and you can see the passages he marked. There are lots of local rastas outside and hanging over the walls trying to sell smoke. It was quite a sight.
Yeah man respect !! This huge island is heaven !!!!!!
i wish i could come back xxxx
